Overview

DevHouse was an internet software development house based in Joinville, Santa Catarina, Brazil, launched in 2005 by Leonardo Vasconcellos. The studio's own site was a single-page MooTools-powered showcase — a Mac OS-style "fisheye dock" for navigation and a lightbox gallery for browsing past work — backed by Skype, MSN, and email contact widgets, typical of the era's small web agencies.

The portfolio spanned a wide range of client needs: an e-commerce storefront repurposed into a quote-request system for Alfa Eletro; a full educational portal for Oficina dos Sonhos; a jobs-and-training portal for the HR company geRHação; an Adobe Flash/PHP corporate site with an animated office-navigation metaphor for Joinville Business Center; a custom Joomla CMS for the cosmetics brand Maquel, complete with product catalog and ingredient glossary; a Joomla-based wedding/events portal for Núcleo do Evento (active 2004–2017) with an online store and live chat; a custom WordPress theme for the photography studio VonMuller; and a business brokerage platform for Investim.

Across these projects, DevHouse paired off-the-shelf CMS platforms (Joomla, WordPress) with hand-built systems where the business required something a template couldn't provide — quote workflows, content glossaries, or animated lead-generation experiences.

Highlights

Tailored client sites at scale

8+ custom builds spanning e-commerce, HR recruitment, cosmetics retail, event/wedding services, and B2B brokerage, each mapped to the client's actual sales or lead-gen funnel instead of a one-size-fits-all template.

Custom CMS with product catalog

a Joomla-based CMS for Maquel Cosméticos with a full product catalog and active-ingredient glossary, letting non-technical staff manage content without developer involvement.

Interactive lead-generation experience

an Adobe Flash + PHP office-navigation site for Joinville Business Center, using an animated desk metaphor and bespoke CMS to convert prospective coworking tenants during the business's launch.
