Overview

La Mode — Moda Online was a Brazilian multi-brand women's fashion e-commerce platform built on Magento 1.x, developed at DMG Digital Agency and launched in 2011.

The store offered a curated catalog spanning clothing (blusas, vestidos, saias, shorts, calças), bags, accessories, and footwear from multiple fashion brands — catering to contemporary Brazilian women looking for quality at accessible prices.

The project involved building two distinct custom Magento themes, lamode (light) and lamode_dark, from the ground up; integrating PagSeguro for Brazilian payment processing; and developing a standalone editorial blog section called "IN" to serve as a fashion media hub alongside the main storefront. Other features included customer accounts, wishlist, newsletter subscription, a sizing guide (guia de medidas), and seasonal lookbook pages.

Launched in 2011 as one of the early Magento-based fashion e-commerce deployments in Brazil, La Mode demonstrated how a well-executed platform build could give a boutique fashion brand the same e-commerce capabilities as large retailers.
