Mobtex is a Joinville, Santa Catarina-based manufacturer of high-performance technical textiles and footwear materials. Their catalogue covers three market segments: Fitness (sport apparel fabrics), Shoes (shoe industry materials), and Diverse (general industrial applications). The brand positioning — "Liberdade para Criar" (Freedom to Create) — positioned Mobtex not as a commodity supplier but as an innovation partner, described internally through four values: Integradora, Próxima, Corajosa, and Realizadora.
The website was built in 2008 on Joomla! 1.0 with a fully bespoke theme. The design brief came from agency Inventiva; the front-end implementation, template development, and CMS setup were done entirely by Leonardo Vasconcellos. The dark, high-contrast visual language mirrors the industrial seriousness of a B2B supplier, while each product line received its own accent color (orange, teal, pink) to orient buyers on first glance. The Joomla CMS layer gave Mobtex's team full editorial control over product descriptions and company news without developer involvement — a significant operational benefit for a small manufacturer in 2008.
