Overview
Sul Eventos was a self-built event portal serving Joinville and the broader Santa Catarina region, centered on weddings and milestone celebrations. Beyond a public-facing events calendar, the platform doubled as a small local-business marketplace: a categorized directory of vendors (photographers, dress shops, venues, caterers) each with their own photo gallery and contact page, an advertiser/banner system for paid placements, and a printable partner loyalty card that gave cardholders discounts across the network — directly monetizing the partner relationships the site curated. It also included a wedding gift registry, church and notary directories to help couples navigate ceremony logistics, a polls/tips section, and a live chat room. Everything — from the public site to the admin panel used to manage events, partners, and ads — was custom-built in PHP/MySQL, and the same engine was reused to power at least two other client deployments, Century Eventos and Fer Eventos.
